I cannot begin to describe how viscerally hard I fuck with They Once Had Names. This was fucking intoxicating to read, the concept of great kaiju being just reduced to (horny) fuel is excellent, and the writing was delightful. All of the character dynamics felt fun and playful and meaningful, the sex and its buildup felt lovely. I want and want to be Jules and her depersoned plaything and dfjhgbhjdfg this is awesome. Excellent work, especially for such a short entry!

It's nice to see another godot entry hehe. So many CGs, such a cute and unique visual style... This paired with your previous work already exudes character.
As a bit of feedback on the tech side; Implementing a custom UI theme takes maybe a few hours of devtime if you're really thorough but can help make the thing feel more cohesive. I also personally like using the meta click events of RichTextLabels in credits, so that people can click on stuff directly! Also fyi, the main menu music doesn't loop dfhgfd
But yk, small things.

This was really good, the ending line drawing it all back in was really poignant. I'd love to learn more about this world, the snippets we do get are really neat. The art is great and really fits the aesthetic!
Really neat short little game! I loved the parallels drawn between the kaiju and the protagonist, both reduced to nameless meat to be used. Really interesting snippets of worldbuilding getting interwoven in ways that serve the narrative of "women having emotionally and literally unhealthy sex", which I'm always a fan of!

This game is amazing!!! The characters are really wonderful, and the world is utterly fascinating. I think it's good that not everything is explained, but we get just enough details that the rest is left up to imagination.
The scenes inside the kaiju also reminded me a lot of Mystery Flesh Pit with the aphrodisiac pools and working as a meat cutter.
Keep up the good work! This is the first submission from the jam I've played, and it's left a hell of an impression.
OMG yeah Mystery Flesh Pit (and the first episode of Kaiju No. 8) were the biggest inspirations for the setting for sure!! I actually had more exposition planned like how the kaiju meat is only eaten by the lower class because it turns your off-spring into half-beasts, but I couldn’t find an easy way to add it in without it feeling forced.
All of the jam submissions that I’ve played are so amazing, you’re in for a wild ride lol

this was so good. I've just been sitting here listening to the bgm and thinking about being meat and what I'd be willing to give up so a hot girl can consume me...
so so so so so good... the short length left me wanting more but what's here is great. all of the shots of the world are so evocative and mysterious, and Jules is so cute. loved it
At first I thought maybe they accidentally get trapped or eaten by a monster, and they fell in love with each other but eventually they'll die. But after I played this, to be honest, this is really a masterpiece. I really like your story, and thank you so much for a game that neither of these two died. Seriously, I've played a lot of games like this, but only yours get me sign up for an account on itch.io and write my very first comment. In short, I love it.
